Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and WordPress platform, has recently redeveloped and introduced a content encouragement service named Plinky. The service was created as an attempt to ease the block woes of the post writers in order to encourage them to create more articles.
Plinky has got several techniques to encourage the writers, inspirational questions being the main of them. In fact, the service provides the writers with different prompts targeted at inspiring content, like asking the question “What’s something you never believed until you experienced it?” and then suggesting to give it an answer, and, if you wish, a couple of words so that it could provide the writher with some images to add to the post.
Thing Labs, an establishment created by ex-Googler, has kicked out this solution a year ago. Unfortunately, three months ago the company announced that it was too busy working on another solution, Brizzly, and prefers it to Plinky.
The company’s statement said that the developers’ team recognized it has put plenty of work into Plinky, and didn’t deny it was a great site. Meanwhile, the developers felt Brizzly had much more to offer than Plinky could ever dreamt of.
Here comes Automattic. Known as the content-loving enterprise, Automattic purchased Thing Labs’ rejected solution (for an undisclosed price). The company hoped to provide users of WordPress platform with a means to return into writing, if they experience any troubles with it.
The Automattic's developers remind everyone of being in the writer block, when it seemed like you would never write any other sound word. That‘s what a new service called Plunky was restored for – to give such writers a little creative push and awake the muse. Every weekday it provides a prompt, most often in the form of a question or a challenge, suggesting you to type in your answer.
We will still have to see if it really succeeds in inspiring the new posts, but, anyway, isn’t it nice to see someone's digital trash becoming the other one's digital treasure?
You can try the solution yourself to see if it is really working. Content encouragement service has already been introduced, and if you want to start using it, all you have to do is to sign up for Plunky separate account. After doing this, add your WordPress.com website to Plinky and start out creating!
