Yep, you guessed right.  Ralph and Rid.  Vacation was pretty cool.  It went by way too fast but it definitely was alot of fun.  Now that I have that chunk of time out of the way, I can focus on some projects I’ve been putting off.  I’m not really going to talk about them, as their somewhat personal projects, but, uh…yeah.

As if you couldn’t tell I’m still kind of vacation’d out.  I really can’t think and I have to spend hours getting myself organized for the following days/weeks.

Anyway, I want to say thank-you to Rid for somewhat holding down the fort and posting for you guys.  He will be having a tough time getting that dildo out of his ass for that banner he put up, however .

Alright.  I’ll probably take tomorrow off for posting, because, well, I’m still wiped out.  Don’t fret however because the Sunday Funnies will be up like normal on Sunday and then Monday I’ll get back in my regular routine.

Invader ZIM is an eccentric alien soldier from the planet Irk. He was banished from the Irken Empire after nearly destroying his home planet on an early mission. After begging his superiors, the Almighty Tallest Red and Purple, for another chance, they decide to get rid of him once and for all. They trick him into going on a “secret mission” to an obscure planet at the edge of the universe, a planet with the unlikely name of Earth. Their trick works, and now ZIM is intent on bringing down the human race. He disguises himself as a schoolboy, and now the only person who can stop him is one kid - Dib Membrane, a somewhat insane paranormal researcher, who sees straight through ZIM’s disguise and is intent on stopping his reign of terror. But neither ZIM nor Dib is very good at their job, and what results is everything imaginable, from a giant hamster destroying the city to both ZIM and Dib being turned into bologna meat.

This post wasn’t meant to be anything huge, but I was just wondering if any of you could reflect on watching the show or not. I’ve followed it since it first aired back in 2001, and have even bought the DVD box set, along with a lot of merchandise to support it. In my opinion, it’s Nick’s greatest achievement. It was unlike any other show they’ve made and I was extremely upset when it was canceled. As I’ve already said though, I still support the show to this day and continue to purchase merchandise and still watch the beloved show.

So what are your thoughts on the show? Did you watch it when you were little, or still do? Let me know what you think about it.

Now, to the most asked about question for this movie: “How was Heath Ledger, Rid?” To be completely honest, I can’t even begin to think of a strong enough word to describe how well I think he portrayed the Joker’s character. If I were to try, I’d use words such as incredible, amazing, and stunning of course. Heath totally stole the show. I really hope he is nominated for an Oscar, because without a doubt he definitely deserves it for the experience he has given us with his last completed performance. The performance, I believe, tops any other he’s done (out of the few others I’ve seen from him). I could go on and on, but I’ll just leave it with the simple fact that it’s something you have to witness for yourself to completely understand how brilliant it really is. I tip my hat to Heath and urge you to go out and see it, if you haven’t already. It’s probably the best performance I’ve seen all year.

When it comes to the movie overall, there is still nothing I can think of that went wrong. Christopher Nolan far surpassed Batman Begins, in my opinion, probably making the greatest Batman film to date. Christian Bale, along with the rest of the cast delivered extremely well, as you would already expect from seeing Batman Begins. Even Maggie Gyllenhaal did better than Katie Holmes to me, so I think that change was for the best. The movie has a great blend of action, drama, romance, and even psychotic, yet dark humor brought to us by Heath’s Joker. I didn’t have low expectations for this movie, but they far surpassed what I first expected (which was still good).

Out of all the great summer movies that have come this year, The Dark Knight is the one to see!

Well I’ve spent the whole day today getting ready for the family vacation down to Wildwood, NJ.  It’s gonna be pretty EFFIN AWESOME cool.  Usually every late-August my family and I either head down to Wildwood or Lake George, NY for a nice getaway.  The past two years however, we didn’t go anywhere.  (We were moving at the times.)

So as you can imagine it’s pretty exciting.  We’re going to try to leave around 6am (EST) tomorrow morning and after making a few stops at our house down in New York and McDonalds for breakfast, we’re hoping to arrive at Wildwood at around  10:00 - 10:30am.  (Yeah, a 4 hour drive… I also spent a good portion of my day making sure my iPod is all updated .)

Anyway, once we get there we’re going to head to the beach.  After hangin’ there we’ll head up to our hotel to check in at around 2:30ish.  After that, I’m not sure.  We may spend a few hours at the pool there and then walk up to the Boardwalk at night.

That’s what we’re probably gonna do every night, if history serves as any guide…  The Boardwalk is pretty cool.  It runs alongside the beach and is packed with restaurants, arcades, gift shops, stores, etc, etc…  It also has three piers jutting out from it (known as Morey’s Piers).  Their filled with roller coasters, other rides and water parks, you know, all that fun stuff.

Anyway, we’ll basically be doing the above about every day.  We’re coming back Thursday night, so I probably won’t post until Friday telling you how it was.  Until then, Rid is in control. I trust he’ll take good care of the site and not do anything too dumb.  I told him to make a few posts while I’m gone, so, we’ll see.

The basic gist of it is this.  CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research) is going to flip the switch on one of the newest and most advanced particle colliders ever built tomorrow in Geneva, Switzerland.  The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been built to test current theories for particle physics. Scientists will try and recreate the conditions that existed just after the Big Bang by smashing parts of atoms together at high speeds.

Once the atoms get a smashin’, this Collider could show one of the most elusive particles in our Universe, known as the “God Particle.” It may also produce other unforeseen particles and effects, and some scientists believe even a black hole.

Yeah, you heard me, a black hole.

Okay, worst-case-scenario…  A black hole is formed.  The power of it tears the Earth apart like that.  Everyone dies.

Big deal.
