Alrighty then. It's Sunday again, so time for a good ol' dose of a weekly review, no? First, let me just mention the fact that I know I haven't posted alot in the past week or so, and I'm sorry for that. I've just been busy with things outside of WordPress and the internet. (Turns out, there's a whole other world besides those two things outside my front door, what the hell!?)

Anyway, things will pick up this week, as I have a 3-post series in the works about how I created a successful mini-website (niche site) with WordPress in just 2 weeks. I'm kinda excited for this, because I'm pretty sure it'll help alot of people looking for inspiration to start creating small article-based websites.

Week in Review

Alright, lets talk about some of the better posts that were made in the blogosphere in the past week or two, shall we?

My favorite article out of the bunch came from Chris over at CSS-Tricks. His post on how to vertically-align text is a necessity to read if you don't know how to do it yourself. I can't even guess the number of times I've seen the question about how to vertically-center text. WPCult had a very useful tip about how to display the_excerpt (in WordPress) only if the Excerpt field was populated. I will definitely be looking back at it when I work on themes in the future. Last, but not least, comes a post from WebDesignerDepot about why valid markup even matters in web design. I can see how that is a valid question to some newbies, but after taking a read of their article, you'll get a good idea why valid code does matter.

Plans and Whatnot

Alright, so. Let's see what's on the agenda for Ralph here, shall we? Friday was technically my last day of high school, so I just freed up a load of my spare time. I still have to do some work here and there on a certain project, but I don't have to actually go to class anymore, so that's all good.

I'm still working on WPPaper, and because of all my free time, I can say it shouldn't be long until it's released to the public. I'm very excited for this theme, and I hope you guys are too.

As of recently, I've been getting more and more of an urge to start working in Flash again and to create an animation. Something semi-big, like a month-long project or something. If I do take this up, I of course will have to set WordPress aside for a bit. I'm still not sure what I want to do, so I really shouldn't even mention it. We'll see what happens in the near future.

Anyway, that's all I have to say this Sunday. Hope you guys all have a good one!
