ForTheLose.org - FTL Weekly Review

Is it already Sunday again? Man, these weeks are just flying by. I've been keeping busy on this end, what with managing ForTheLose.org, working on the new Rock Solid theme, and a small side project of my own, I barely have time to squeeze in a game of Warrock (but I do). I'm really proud of myself for the recent success of this darn site here. Before version 5.0 was released, we were scraping by with maybe 150 unique visitors a day. Nowadays, it's a guaranteed 900+! (Actually, for the past few days, it's been in the 1,000s.) Thanks to those of you that read here daily, that have use bookmarked, that have subscribed to the RSS feed, and those that have followed me on Twitter - you all rock.

Week in Review

The week of February 15th to February 22nd, 2009 was a bit of a quiet on the epic-posts scale, but I've still managed to bookmark a few of my favorites that I've recently read.

I came across the article about magenta not being a color via Twitter, and I thought it was a pretty cool article. I never made that connection before between the color magenta and the face that it's not located on the rainbow anywhere. Fuel Your Creativity's article about the 30 dual element logos was pretty cool. It was almost like a game, see how many logos you can identify the dual elements in. Some of them are pretty creative. Fonts are a big part of web designers lives, and I thought Woorks article about 10 free fonts was quality enough to include on this list. I already had a majority of those fonts myself (Nevis is my favorite).

Plans and Whatnot

I got myself a big ol' full heapin' pile of school next week, but the following weeks are broken up with days off scattered here and there. I currently only have two main projects I'm focusing on, Rock Solid and the small niche site I'm developing on the side. Hopefully it'll be a success, it's coming along nicely.

Many of the oldies here are ForTheLose.org will recall when I got my Paypal account limited back in September. Well, after failed attempts at unlimiting it, I've finally gotten my money out of the account and into my pocket, so thank God for that. This week I'm hoping to get my account fully back in my control, it'll be nice to actually spend money again. I've gone months without buying a domain name (or even a premium account on Warrock!). Wish me luck on that, lol.

Alrighty then. It's actually 3am right now and I'm not tired at all. it's weird. Whatever, time to hit up the NA East servers on Warrock. Have a great Sunday all!
