I'm sure most of you out there have bought something online at one time or another, amirite? For example, lets go through my list real quick:
- OIO Publisher
- A Hostgator Hosting Account
- Domain Names from Name.com
You know what all those purchases have in common? No?
Well, in total, I probably saved over $60 than the average buyer by searching for coupon codes for these products before I bought.
Now, you could just google something like "oio publisher coupon code" or "hostgator coupon code", but I'd recommend checking RetailMeNot.com first. This is probably one of the best sites on the internet. In a nutshell, users are allowed to add new coupon codes they have found elsewhere to the site, while other users use them and vote whether they work or not. It basically makes your coupon code search a heck of alot easier.
For example, a quick search for a hostgator coupon code on this site reveals a ton of usable ones. HEART, for one, will give you 20% off your entire purchase! (That's the one I used
).
Another one, XUP599, will give you $5.99 .com domains at Name.com.
How cool is that?

cool, thanks for the memo. I already knew that because theres one website that when you try to leave, a chatbox pops up, and a bot that claims to be an actual person gives you a code for 20% off...After that, i learned to look for coupon codes....not that i ever have really bought much like that, except a domain name...
