Another edition of the FTL Saturday Snippets! Today, I’m going to quickly teach you how to modify the way Wordpress uses excerpts. Excerpts, as I’m sure you already know, are the few brief sentences taken from the beginning of a post (or from the “Excerpt” field) that are displayed in place of the full blog post itself.
Custom Fields are one of the most powerful features in Wordpress. Most newbies are either afraid of these mysterious input areas or just plain ol’ don’t even know they exist. In this post, my goal is to enlighten you on what exactly the Custom Fields are and provide some examples of what they can be used for.
