ForTheLose.org - Theme in the Works: Rock Solid

I've been working on a new theme for you guys for a few days now. I've decided to call it Rock Solid. Awesome name, I know.

The theme centers around a dark and rocky look which, if I pull it off right, should look great when it's finished. As of right now, there are three color variations - blue, red, and green. I'm probably going to add one or maybe two more colors like a slate gray or something just to add more variation. I'm aiming on making this theme extremely powerful with a very in-depth Theme Options page to make the management of this theme a breeze for any user. Some features I'm looking to include are an appealing post slideshow at the top of the homepage using jQuery, the ability to turn Google Adsense on and off with a click of the mouse, built-in Twitter and Flickr widgets, and a simple, easy-to-use 125x125 ad management system.

I'm really excited about this theme and hope you guys will like it as well once it's released. Best thing of all, it'll be free of charge.

Why don't you EVER use a banner in your free themes?

There is a banner in this one. You can just replace "Rock Solid" with your sites name in Photoshop (.psd will be included) or take it a step further and make that whole 900px wide area your banner and then disable the Google ads so they don't get in the way.

Why are you making it free? This theme with all the features you mentionned, surpass Stiches. I'm just looking to see if commentluv will work on this one.

@Will - CommentLuv doesn't work? That doesn't make sense. I used the same comment structure on Stitches that I did here on FTL. Are you using the latest version of the plugin? It's what I'm using.

@Dan - Yeah, Stitches has only made 2 sales from ThemeForest. Still hoping it'll get noticed once ForTheLose gets a little more popular. That's one of the reasons why I'm giving this one away for free. Good word of mouth.

The clear difference between that comment form and Stiches one is that Stiches use tinymce as the commentbox. And Apparently this is what cause the problem. So I'll try to replace the commentbox with an html one.

Yeah, I noticed that it is a plug-in included with another theme that I was using, the plug-in stayed here. Eternal and I both used this theme.

I'll probably be using this, since I need a banner for my website, plus, it has the same features as Stitches. Keep this up, I can't wait to see a live preview. Should be hot.
